Ava began her soccer journey at four years old; she sharpened her skills at a young age learning under the Barca methodology at her time with Barça Academy San Diego. A true student of the game, Ava has developed into a primarily attacking midfielder for her ability to read the field and distribute the ball effectively; she is also versatile and knowledgeable enough to transition into the roles of winger and striker. She has the ability to get forward to create goal scoring opportunities and finish when in the position. A true team player, Ava enjoys possession based game play and understands the importance of defending and creating turnovers when her team is in transition. Three years ago, she joined Surf, prior to that she played a season with her former clubs 2008 boys team. At Surf, she captained 2 seasons for the ECNL-RL(Condliffe) team and was consistently the top scorer. In high school, as a two year varsity soccer player, Ava was captained in her sophomore year. She was voted offensive player of the year two years in a row and received rookie of the year her freshman year. She was also voted to first team all league both years.

In her off time, Ava enjoys painting, jewelry making, being outdoors and watching college and professional soccer as well as other sports. She is the eldest of 4 siblings and loves hanging with her 3 younger brothers and family.
